"What a Feeling" it is. Thirty years after the film about a young welder with dreams of becoming a professional dancer hit the big screen, Flashdance -- The Musical brings the inspiring story to the stage. Featuring all the hit songs (including the Oscar-winning title track), plus 16 brand new tunes, this high-energy production follows Alex, a "steel town girl on a Saturday night," as she pursues her dance dreams. Just when it seems she's going to make it, a wrong-side-of-the-tracks romance with her boss threatens to derail her goals. This adaptation of the movie that taught women to rock leg warmers includes the Grammy-winning soundtrack smashes "Maniac," "Gloria," "Manhunt" and "I Love Rock 'n' Roll." Learn More

Non-stop action. This show was one of the best depictions of history that I've seen. If only history class was that exciting in school. While some of the issues that PR is dealing with (and, has dealt with) are very serious, this show presented them in a very funny, non-preachy manner. It's a great show with lots of laughs.

By Carlos Ferrari
Directed by Luis Caballero
A hilarious and satirical take on the most notorious times in history of the island and the development of today’s “Boricua,” this musical was an instant hit in Puerto Rico when it first opened. Ferrari, an established and frequently produced playwright in Puerto Rico and co-founder of the distinguished Nuevo Teatro Group, spins tales of the Taíno natives, the many invaders from the Conquistadores to the USA, and the ups and downs of contemporary life in the enchanted island.
