The Howard Theatre welcomes Carolyn Wonderland to the stage for a night of Texas blues. The award-winning singer, with acclaimed albums including Alcohol & Salvation, Bloodless Revolution, and most recently, Miss Understood, has earned serious street cred among her peers. Bob Dylan calls himself a fan, Bonnie Raitt has been her duet partner and the rowdy crowd of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally stopped to listen when she sang the national anthem. Folks from House of Blues Radio's Elwood's BluesMobile to Don Imus, from Guitar Player Magazine to The Huffington Post are talking about Wonderland's music. Steeped in the Texas blues tradition, Wonderland is a master of the guitar along with the trumpet, accordion, piano and lap steel. Learn More

Alex O'Neal showed up and appeared ready to deliver a performance remniscent of his 80's show stopping performances. Unfortunately, while tugging at his pants with his back against the crowd for most of his performance, 45 minutes was all that he could give. His voice appeared strong and I enjoyed Alex and his band, as well as his background singers although the female singer oversung Alex when performing duets. Did I get my money's worth... NO... Not even the Goldstar discount value. I left very disappointed.
