Join Professionals in the City for their ever popular and extremely fun scavenger hunt around Washington, D.C.! It's a day of fun, exercise, creativity, prizes, new friends and more!

This is a great team-building activity and a perfect way to make lots of new friends in an exciting and challenging environment. You will be outdoors for the better part of the day, so come prepared! Wear comfortable shoes, put on some sunscreen and bring bottled water with you.

How does it work?

1. Upon arrival at 11:30 we will organize you into teams. At precisely 12 noon, the scavenger hunt will start. Each team will be given a list of several items to retrieve and some clues to solve. The items are all of little or no cost.

2. The list will also contain a location at a popular spot where each team must check in at 2 p.m. Each team should take whatever items it has and proceed to that location by that time. If you are late, you lose points. Teams are not expected to retrieve all of the items listed. You will then have a 30 minute break to rest, eat lunch, meet people on other teams, and so on. At 2:30 p.m. sharp, your team will be given a second list of items to retrieve, and you will continue on the hunt.

3. At 4 p.m., the teams will check in at the finish line, which is near the starting line. The winning team will be the one that collects the most points. Results will be tallied, and prizes will be awarded to the top team.

All teams must use public transportation. Teams caught using personal cars will be disqualified. We recommend that you bring a Metro card with at least $10 on it when you arrive or you can purchase a $6.50 all-day pass from Metro Center.

Throughout the day, you'll visit many landmarks in D.C., restaurants, schools, theaters, and much much more! There are plenty of items to collect and mysteries to solve and what you see depends upon your team's resolve, speed and ability to have fun!

Each team should have at least ONE digital camera. A backup camera is recommended.
