Lead singer-guitarist and flamboyant front man Liang Long heads up the Beijing-based rock band Second Hand Rose, who're skilled at shredding on both traditional and modern instruments. Second Hand Rose is also famed for its highly theatrical concerts -- a visually-spectacular combination of Chinese opera techniques and Ziggy Stardust-style stage antics, with Long sometimes performing as both a man and a woman. Their 2004 debut disc scored critical kudos in China, and they've since released five albums, including their latest, 2013's Stealing the Show. Learn More

It is a heartfelt display of intellectual badassery. The characters were human without falling into the chasm of cliche. The nods and inside jokes to the 90's make the show a must see. I don't mention anything about the actors because they were simply ideal choices for their individual parts. Everything else I can think of to add falls short to the stellar sense of humor, timing and ability to convey the sadder/darker range of human emotions that each actor displayed throughout the play.
