The ship looked as nice as it does in photos (on the outside anyway). The crew was very friendly and accommodating. Though we were never told that tables were assigned, so after settling down into one by window, we were moved to a middle row, away from window. There were three of us, and only two to the party that took our place at the window table.
The buffet was like a movie version of a bad wedding reception, and left a lot to be desired for $65. Mostly fillers, and some fish, and chicken dishes, but nothing that warranted the hefty price tag, and that was with the Goldstar discount.
Drinks (except water/tea) were extra. Except ours which were comps, when I got hit in the back with flying glass from the bartender dropping one, and found glass in my hair :-\
Would never go back, and aside from food and glass, not the place for anniversary or intimate occasion.

Very nice trip. Too much entertainment and not enough couples dancing. This cruise goes from the docks to just South of the Wilson Bridge- so you don't see too many DC sights.

A FRIEND AND I WENT AND WE HAD A FUN TIME. THE MUSIC WAS GOOD AND THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS ALSO GOOD. THE FOOD WAS TASTY AND WE ENJOYED LOOKING OUT AT THE VIEW FROM THE BOAT. WE DANCED AND CHATTTED WITH THE PEOPLE WHO WERE SEATED NEXT TO US. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANYONE WHO IS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING FUN AND DIFFERENT TO DO.

I have never rated or "reveiwed" any experience on sites such as these. I want to start by saying I was not satisfied with my experience for the price (Goldstar Price). I thought the food was mediocre at best - salad from a bag, frozen green beans w/sliced almonds (not toasted), peppered zucchini too spicy to eat, stuffed chicken over baked, mashed potatoes (mixed with SPUDS); the salmon was baked or broiled and was okay, roast beef was sliced fresh and was okay. I wouldn't be happy if I ordered this in a restaurant other than Shoney's or Denny's. My husband and I ate our dinner quickly and decided to enjoy the cruise on the water. It was a lovely night and the water was calm. The cruise was simple and relaxing from the upper deck. We were not drinking so did not join in the festivities with the D.J. and dance floor. Do not take this cruise if you are looking for a fine dining experience on board a luxury ship. If you are just looking for something different to do, it's a good date night.

Dinner was not great but decent. Being in the dining area of the boat was like being at a lively wedding reception. People drank a good deal of alcohol and danced all the up the end to upbeat music. I found it just right though to escape all of the noise to the quiet night of the open roof fourth deck where you could really enjoy the Potomac and the sights that you can see along the river.

It was okay. Definitely not worth the money! The entertainment was the best part. The food was less than okay. For dessert they brought a plate of 3 tiny pieces of dessert, it was more of a sampler. And the drinks were very expensive, $15 for a shot of patron! My advice... eat before you go. I wouldn't go back unless the price significantly dropped!

Thought we were going to see more sightseeing, but it was a great time, great entertainment (dancing/singing) and food! Crowd involvement was a plus!
