Climb aboard the Patriot II, a multi-million dollar high-speed catamaran, and wind down after work with a relaxing 90 minute happy-hour cruise on the Potomac River. You'll soak up the sights of the city, the national monuments and, of course, the gorgeous cherry blossoms as you enjoy the drink specials and snacks for sale at the on-board cash bars. Let the wind blow through your hair on an outdoor deck or kick back in the climate-controlled interior cabin. Learn More

So first, some directions. The easiest way to get there is take 395N to Maine St exit which is a couple of exits past the split to take 14th street into Washington DC. When you hit Maine, take a left and the marina is right on your right. It truly is directly behind Cantina Marina in fact, you have to go through the restaurant after meeting the boat guide by the street. The boat ride was nice, but seemed so short! You go out the channel into the Potomac and make a right towards the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. About half way there, you turn around and head back into the channel. You will see Ft. McNair, Bolling, AFB, Haines Point from the boat. Get a seat on top or on the first level outside back that way you can have a full view! YOu get some trivia as you ride a long, but not much. They do have a reasonable cash bar with some drinks and small food items if necessary. The boat was really clean and super nice inside! I recommend this tour.

Because of the cold weather the blossoms weren't out as much as anticipated. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get closer to the Tidal Basin but the boat is too high to pass under the 14th St. bridge. I wouldn't do it again.
Cruises range in length from 50 to 90 minutes.
