The event was enjoyable and the cruise was beautiful. The challenge was that the captain's voice was muffled over the intercom system.

The boat ride was nice def. worth the price paid. You will want to bring a light jacket because it is a windy ride. Lasly the boat is not two decks as described but one level with open seating along the perimeter of the boat. I still liked the ride despite the boat which was a little disappointing. ;-(

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT. First of all, they OVERSOLD the boat. They decided to let people on the boat in a first come, first served basis, so there was a mad dash for people to get on the boat. Those TICKETED passengers that didn't get on the boat were flippantly told by the captain to call the place where they purchased the tickets and that was it.(No guaranteed refunds, etc...) As the final tour time on Easter Sunday, I felt very bad for those from out of town who didn't get to take a tour during their visit to DC. The other major issue was that all passengers had to take a huge, wobbly step down into the boat. My father had just had shoulder surgery and has a bad knee so this process was particularly painful for him. (And not at all ADA Accessible.) I spent the majority of the tour worried about 1) how much pain he was in from getting in and then 2) how he was going to get out of the boat. On top of it all, the tour was short and dull. A local here, I found the information very basic and not at all as exciting as some of the other boat tours. It was a nice affordable ticket price of $11, but I recommend spending more money for a better experience.

It was a nice calm cruise and my family enjoyed it a lot.
It is a 40 minutes cruise, and I think increasing it to an hour would make it more enjoyable.
