From the electrifying performances on The Ed Sullivan Show to the psychedelic pop experimentations of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, all of the excitement and unforgettable music of a live Beatles show is brought to life in Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles. With authentic costumes, multimedia effects and note-perfect live renditions of classic Beatles songs from "Can't Buy Me Love" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" to "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be," Rain is the biggest sensation since John, Paul, George and Ringo themselves first set foot on American soil. These spectacular musicians have won international acclaim for their uncanny reproduction of the Fab Four and have toured across the globe with a repertoire of more than 200 Beatles songs, including the most complex and challenging tunes that the Beatles themselves recorded in the studio but never performed for a live audience. After MONTHS of debating on whether to take my 2 1/2 year old to see Super Why! live, I decided to go for it. Problem was the cheapest tickets available through ticketmaster were going to cost me $103 for the very worst seats in the house (upper, upper balcony). We still decided to take her, so 2 days before the event I was scouring the internet trying to see if I could find cheaper tickets. After trying craigslist, stubhub, and all other rip off sites- I decided that ticket master was my best option. Then, by chance I just typed in Super Why! discount tickets and came across Goldstar. I couldn't believe it was free to join and would allow me to get my tickets half off. So, I joined and immediately ordered 3 of the highest priced tickets they offered. 3 tickets with their combined fees cost me $82. Which was $20 cheaper than what ticketmaster was charging for "nose bleed" section. I figured being her first show, atleast we're not paying an arm and a leg if she doesn't like it. You can imagine my surprise when I arrived at the theatre and picked up my tickets for Center Orchestra, Row G! We were 9 rows back and had great seats! The couple next to me paid $170 for their 3 tickets, so thank you to Goldstar for that! Back to Super Why! It was such a great show. I see people complaining about not being as long as a normal play. But, you have to understand they are catering to a younger audience. THe show started at 3pm and we were out of there by 4:30pm. That was just the right amount of time for my toddler. The characters were great, there was amazing audience interaction, and it was very true to the tv show that we have all come to love. If your child watches Super Why! I promise this will be a magical experience for them. Seeing my daughter sing the songs and scream along with Wyatt and friends gave me the greatest feeling. I would pay double to see the way her little face lit up! Thankfully Goldstar helped me out with that. :)
