Israeli filmmaker Ran Tal took home the prize as best documentary director at the 2012 Jerusalem Film Festival for The Garden of Eden, which explores the unique allure of the country's famed Gan HaShlosha National Park. Better known as the Sakhne ("hot spring"), the resort draws more than 500,000 visitors a year, of all religions and backgrounds. Tal's film delves into both the natural beauty of the area and the stories of its visitors who come there to relax and heal, including an abandoned husband, an abused wife and others. This D.C. premiere screens as part of the 24th annual Washington Jewish Film Festival. Learn More
