Not easy to find the theater without a car, but well worth the experience once you're in there. Near professional-quality performance overall, achieving it in some cases.

Very hard to understand, hard to follow. I also had a very hard time finding parking for the theater.

Because this is a Shakespeare play and I knew the "language...dialect" would be a little challenging, I read several synopsis, just so I could follow along. I'm glad I did, as such I thought the actors did an outstanding job. It was open seating...continued

Great experience as always with Goldstar. Confirmation came within minutes of the purchase as well as a receipt on e mail. I picked up my tickets with no problem. I enjoyed the production.

I took our teenage daughters. I feel this is one of the most powerful plays done by Shakespeare and I have seen if performed several times. The comedic relief was excellent, but I feel that the actors lacked knowledge in how to convey the...continued

This is the first time we had experienced Hartke Theater at CUA. It's nearby, easy to get to, street parking was convenient. The play was beautifully produced. We thought it was a daring production but dealt intelligently with the subject...continued

Great value for money, the concession stand is real cheap, seats are not comfortable but the stage view is great anywhere you sit. I would go again.

The acting was of mixed quality--Portia was excellent, the Bassanio good, but unfortunately the Shylock was unconvincing. And since this is "the Shylock play," that was a disappointment. The theatre building was freezing-cold, which made for...continued

The show was good but the theater was uncomfortably cold and took from the enjoyment of the performance.

Enjoyable show but Hartke Theatre was air conditioned to meat locker temperatures. I've been to many theaters and I've never experienced a colder venue than this. Even my gym is warmer. I realize the actors work up a sweat but there needs to...continued

Acting was unbelievably wooden--like they were trees, not people, never mind MFA students. They weren't comfortable with the dialogue, like they didn't know what they were saying. (Shylock had potential. Maybe under different direction he'd be...continued

Excellent performance at CUA. The comp tickets made it an ever better value. I would go see them again.

My first experience at the Hartke Theatre. I was very impressed. The acting, directing, sets, etc. were all excellent, I thought on a very professional level. The play, as always, is disturbing (especially for a comedy!) and leaves much room for...continued
