D.C.'s Trouble Funk ("Pump Me Up") 35th Anniversary Show
The local band Big Tony and Trouble Funk gave go-go music to the world in the '80s, a funk sub-genre that brought the '70s sound and a '60s-style horn section together to create a danceable mix that's still grooving plenty today. Their tune "Pump Me Up" is sampled often and even appears in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, but they're also known for their songs "E-Flat Boogie," "Drop the Bomb" and "Hey, Fellas," not to mention their famous live jams.

We went on a Sunday afternoon. I had not been in that part of DC on the weekend in a long time. There are a lot of places to eat on 14th and U Streets You can find 2 hour parking in the communities in the area. Lots of people were out that evening shopping and eating.Youn Sun Nah & Ulf Wakenius Duo dining • Sep 15 2014 star this tip starred
