D.C.'s own acclaimed avant-garde performance company force/collision creates a dynamic blend of live action and video projection inspired by British gay rights activist and experimental filmmaker Derek Jarman. Written by Obie Award-winning playwright Caridad Svich and starring John Moletress, this new production explores Jarman's out-of-the-box life and work through the eyes of a young queer artist, and premieres on the 20th anniversary of Jarman's death from AIDS-related causes. A true visionary, Jarman was famed for his non-narrative films, including Tilda Swinton's film debut Caravaggio, along with The Last of England, The Tempest and Blue, as well as his music videos for artists like The Sex Pistols, The Smiths and Pet Shop Boys. This production is set to tour parts of the U.S. and the UK following this run. Learn More

Always a great place to hear or see anything. One of the very best venues in DC.
The performance itself was amazing and was another that would only happen at the Atlas (in fact one of the three or four places in the world that has presented this work so far). It's truly epic and deserves a much wider audience than it gets.
Hats off to all involved
