Talk about your merry and bright -- the charm-filled Christmas musical that broke box office records on Broadway is coming to town. Based on the hit 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell, this funny and heartfelt show follows the pointy-shoed footsteps of William "Buddy" Hobbs, who was raised as an elf in Santa's workshop and grows up -- and up, and up -- before finally discovering that he's actually human. So Santa sends Buddy on a quest to meet his human family, where it turns out the happy-go-lucky guy has to help them -- and the whole city of New York -- remember the true meaning of the season. Probably one of the most enjoyable operas I have heard in a long time. It was just beautiful.
Radvanovsky was absolutely delightful. She touched us from her first notes and we were under her charm for a long time after the show ended.
