Women of Architecture: World-Famous Architects Discuss Their Work
Few architects have fused the disciplines of architecture, urban design, landscape planning and infrastructure as successfully as Andrea Leers FAIA and Jane Weinzapfel FAIA. Now the National Building Museum has invited these extraordinary thought-leaders to speak at its Women of Architecture
series in celebration of Women's History Month. Named one of "Top 100 U.S. Firms" by Architect Magazine
, their firm Leers Weinzapfel Associates enjoys an much-envied reputation for buildings that promote both human interaction and social well-being. Some of their most prestigious commissions include the Paul S. Russell Museum of Medical History and Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital, the Taunton Trial Court in Massachusetts and the University of Pennsylvania Gateway Complex. Robert Ivy, CEO, American Institute of Architects, will provide opening remarks.
