Her Top 40 hit, "I Kissed a Girl," and Clueless soundtrack cut, "Supermodel," may have put singer-songwriter Jill Sobule on the map in 1995, but she's more than just a '90s pop flash in the pan. Since then, she's composed songs for Nickelodeon's tween-centric series Unfabulous, toured with the late, great Warren Zevon and collaborated on a musical comedy revue with former SNL star Julia Sweeney. In 2012, Sobule took on yet another gender-bending project; she composed original music for a new production of Isaac Bashevis Singer's Yentl, infusing klezmer, pop and rock into the score. You can expect an evening of Sobule's topical, comical and whimsical lyrics, including tracks from her 2014 release, "Dottie's Charms." Learn More
Quotes & Highlights
“_Like Dreamers_ is passionate and dispassionate at the same time, all-knowing and curious, objective politically even when dealing with the most politically divisive issues. The writing is, quite simply, music. Like Dreamers not only fills a gap in the literature on Israel, it fills entire shelves. It will be invaluable.” —Michael Oren, bestselling author of Six Days of War and former Israeli Ambassador to the United States
