I had a great time at the 80s prom party. The music was awesome and I enjoyed the first band the most. The atmosphere was fun and it was evident that people were having a good time.

It was a blast. People really dressed up in 80's dresses so it was great people watching. The bands played mostly 80's metal music which is not my thing but I still had a good time

AWESOME TIME. Total mix of people...from people who actually went to prom in the 80's to those of us who wish had gone to prom in the 80's. Great outfits, great hair, and lots n lots of dancing. The first 2 bands were absolutely GREAT. The last band however, not so much...they kind of drove the crowd home. My beef with the music is they didn't play enough pop...I don't think I heard a single Madonna song, not even Duran Duran. That surprised me a lot. However, you're guaranteed a great time, especially if you go with a great group of friends.
OH --TAKE the prom pictures!!! It's the best part. They had a room where you can take free "prom-like" pictures of you and your group of friends and they print them out right away. It's AMAZING. Like I said, the best part!

Not very Prom Party more of just a night at House of Blues with an 80's cover band. They took pictures but, I have yet to see them...
Definitely, not worth the money.

Great times had by all it seemed. Everyone was in a good mood, and everyone dressed their part. The bands were all good in their own right, I just wished they talked about their set list before going on, and there was a couple of the same songs play by the different bands. I’m not to sure how many bands there were, I think maybe 3… But the second band, the one with the guitar player that looked like prince was my favorite. They got us dancing. It was a bit crowded and a little hard to really get down, but over all I had a great time. Loved that photo set up! I agree that the drinks we’re kind of small, but if you got your drinks from the bar in between the photo set up’s they were bigger, stronger, and served by a much nicer bartender! Inside were the music was playing they only gave you little plastic cups for your drinks. My boyfriend had a great time, and even said he would totally do it again, we loved that we got to dress up, listen to live music, and drink till the cows came home…. Way better then my high school prom! The only thing I would like to find more out about was the charity this even was for, I couldn’t find out any information on it.

I LOVE 80's parties! The first cover band was fantastic - easily transitioning from pop music, to Billy Idol to Guns & Roses. Their outfits were great. The second band were showy and I only knew one of the songs they sung - it was really hard, heavy metal stuff. I know that was part of the 80's, but when you go to an 80's party you don't expect to hear an hour straight of that stuff. They were also pretty crass between songs. Other than them, I really enjoyed the party and would go again...hopefully with more of the first band and less or none of the second band.

My friends and I really enjoyed going to 80s Prom. Everyone there was decked out in their prom dresses and 80s gear. The first cover band was awesome... Played all the songs we wanted to hear. Unfortunately, the last cover band was not enjoyable. We didn't know any of the songs and many people started to leave when they could tell the band wasn't getting any better. Overall, we're definitely going back next year!

If you loved the 80s and want to have a reason to pull out your old prom dress and just act crazy-then this event is for you. I had so much fun and I was surprised that the band was pretty good too. I plan to attend the next one!

My friends and had a great time! Everyone was in the 80's spirit. I agree with the first review the first cover Band was awesome it was totally 80's made you want to dance & sing along... the last Band really HATED it was more of the 80's Hard Rock no dancing there...so we got so bored we felt...so instead of leaving on a good note we felt on a sad note! wishing the first Band would have played all night! So this review is based only on the first Band cause we did have such a blast!

Went with a group and we all took the 8o's theme quite seriously- and were very happy (and relieved) to see that everyone else did as well. The only bit we found disappointing is that the (live band) music seemed to be highly focused on 80's hair bands... don't they know other musical movements were happening in the eighties? Especially so soon after MJ's death... you would think a little pop (& maybe some New Wave?) would make its way in to the rotation. There was one Prince song and one Pat Benatar song and everything else wash Slayer, Warrant, GNR, etc., etc... But the 80's fashion turnout was impressive!

Fun event! I loved getting dressed up in 80's style and dancing to the great 80's music. I wish my friend and I had gotten there earlier - when we arrived the band that was playing was really good and played several recognizable 80's tunes. The last band was a little too heavy metal for my taste. I would have liked to hear more pop. But I still had a great time and would attend again.

Had a blast at the 80's Prom !! Lots of music from the past, although no Cindy Lauper or Madonna was played, and only one Billy Idol song :(
Great seeing the Miami Vice and Madonna folks, and the full length prom dresses from the era were great !! Will have to dress up next year !

It was a fun party. The bands were good. The drinks were small but we loved our waitress. We had a group of 10, we rented an limo and made it a great retro party. We will go next year.

We all had a blast. It would have been nicer if the bands didn't overlap on some songs. I had no problem with the drinks, but didn't appreciate the waitress upstairs. We had just came in from pictures(the photographers were great, very energetic), and got drinks from the bar. We sat down for a minute, and she flew over for an order. We calmly stated we had just got new drinks, but to check back later. 2 minutes later, she made us leave the table, and said we needed a 2 drink minimum to sit there. Maybe I'm foolish, but we had just arrived and gotten drinks. There was 4 in the party, and it was obvious we would be drinking more. Her loss, bartender's gain. Aside from that, we really had a great time!

Everyone was dressed up in full 80s regalia and it was great people watching and eyeing all the costumes. The bands were really fun but the second band was swayed a little too metal. I loved their oufits (spandex, cropped shirts, and hair hair hair), but I would have rather heard some more familiar songs. My only other complaint was the girl/guy ratio. IT was about the same as the event pick above, 5 girls to every guy and the guys that were there were significant others. All in all, though, it was a good time.

Great cover bands, great music, prom pictures, and an opportunity to get into full 80s attire. My girlfriend and I had the best time.

Really fun to dress up in 80s garb, but music was waaaaaay too loud in House Of Blues. Had to scream in the ear of the person nearest to be able to hear each other. Would have liked to hear more of the pop songs, less of the metal. Cover bands were cool, but honestly, it would have been more fun to dance to the original songs piped in. Drinks were outrageously expensive and outrageously small. Despite my love for the 80s, don't think I'll do this again next year.

HOB is consistently a solid venue for bands so I wasn't surprised that it worked well with the 80's cover bands. Good crowd, the prom photographers were great. Music started out great but the metal band at the end, which I personally dug, seemed to turn off a decent amount of people as the place started to empty out midway through their set. Overall it was a solid event though, hopefully they do it again next year.
