Scrooge character was great. The initial portrayal as a meanie, and the transformation into a nice guy was very well done. Very engaging and funny. Supporting cast uneven but a few gems there too. And, yes, it was all very, very gay!Written on Dec 09 2007

This play is wonderful! Campy, touching, hysterical, cute guys (check out the legs on the Ghost of Christmas Present in his skimpy, jingle bell-adorned hot pants)! What more could you ask for? Will get you in the Christmas spirit!Written on Dec 07 2007

It's a work in progress. There are some hysterically funny gay moments that flow quite naturally from the traditional story, and these are made the most of. But the more serious side of Scrooge's redemption, and the social implications of the story, are barely touched upon. "Uncle Tim" is not nearly as heartrending a figure as a juvenile "Tiny Tim," and there appears to be little reason why the character of the young boy could not have been retained. Another 15-20 minutes added to amplify those points would be welcome. As it is, you're left with the feeling that, with a few changes, it would have been a lot more fun to work at S&M than to participate in the "real world" of Fred and Cratchett.Written on Dec 14 2007

More Information About A Christmas Carol
Description
Eben Scrooge is a world famous fashion designer behind S&M, the clothing line he started with his partner Jake Marley. After Marley's untimely death, Scrooge's life takes a downward spiral into an abyss of drugs, money and depression. This is a story of Scrooge's anger and coldness and, ultimately, a tale about the healing power of love and redemption. Oh, and it also has ghosts...big, gay, fabulous ghosts!
Adapted by Jason Moyer.
