More Details About Actor-Comedian Rob Riggle
More Information
Rob Riggle joined the cast of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” in September 2006 and within a year the military veteran had convinced the show's producers to let him travel to Iraq (without the use of green screen technology) and report on the war. In August 2007, Riggle implemented “Operation Silent Thunder,” spending a week with the troops -- as well as touring as part of a USO comedy show -- and then reporting on his findings on “The Daily Show.”
Currently a Major in the Marine Corps Reserves, Rob has been performing sketch and improv comedy in New York and Los Angeles for the last nine years as part of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. He was also a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" for one season from 2004-2005. He has appeared on "The Office" and "Arrested Development,” as well as numerous times on “Late Night with Conan O'Brien.” Rob has also been featured in films like "Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story," with Rob Corddry, "Talladega Nights, the Ballad of Ricky Bobby," and "Unaccompanied Minors."
