$53.00 - $59.00
Our Price:
$26.50 - $29.50

Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon is the world's longest-running musical revue. Since 1974, this San Francisco institution has followed Snow White on a musical comedy quest around the world, where she runs into satirically portrayed pop-culture and political celebrities, an impressive array of gigantic hats and one show-stopping musical number after another. Because the show is constantly updated with new costumes, hats and characters, it rewards repeat visits. Among the familiar faces you might see spoofed in Beach Blanket's latest incarnation: Lady Gaga, Barack and Michelle Obama, the cast of Glee, Kate Middleton and Adele. Even after nearly 40 years, Beach Blanket Babylon remains one of San Francisco's wildest evenings of live entertainment. Learn More

This was a really fun and unexpected great time! Peter Mac is fantastic and creates a wonderful spectrum of the life of Judy Garland. My party of five all really enjoyed it. While it is not a big budget musical and had a flaw or two here and there with tech, the heart of this show and talent of Mr Mac warrants five stars.

The show was fabulous!!! It was so well written detailing Judy's heartbreaking life story interjected with well placed humor and amazing singing! The performance was sensational!!! Not to mention the wardrobe change
The venue was quirky and I really liked it but I think such a superb performance demands a bIgger venue and audience.
My only disappointment with the show was the song 'get happy' was not performed ;(

My friend and I had a delightful time Saturday night watching Judy Garland come to life in song and story. We loved the intimate venue, the convenient parking and the good food. It was lots of fun!

Description

Starring Peter Mac as Judy Garland
Musical Direction and Piano Accompaniment: Bryan Miller and on Percussion: Kevin Widener.

Peter Mac is excited to see his dream become a reality  to be debuting "Judy Garland LIVE!: In Concert" in this new venue built especially for him.  So welcome to "Peter Mac's at the French Market," a new showroom dedicated to the preservation of loving tributes to a bygone era.

Mac made his debut as Ms. Garland in 2002 in his autobiographical play, "Judy and Me," which ran for nearly two years at Rose's Turn in New York.  It made its Off-Broadway debut in 2008 at St. Luke's Theater, also in New York, where it enjoyed a successful limited run.  It toured throughout the East Coast and spawned his cabaret show, "Judy Garland: Live in Concert."

The show has been created and conceived in the mind of Peter Mac, fast becoming known as Los Angeles' premiere Judy Garland Tribute Artist.  June 10, 2012 marks what would have been the legendary diva's 90th birthday and appropriately falling on LA PRIDE day.

Valet parking is available for $2.50 in the French Market lot with restaurant validation after 5pm. Street parking is also available in the area.
