when, somebody decide to write a book or a play, specially when it is based on the true story, should be fair and knowledgable about that incedent, the people, their cultures, etc., etc...and this play, had a problem regarding dealing with all these elements.First of all, this is happend in Iran, their language is Farsi, and completely different from Arabs culture and language, but it seems that the writer, same as still a lot of people in US, can not distinguish between Persians and Arabs, therefore, most of the statements, even the food, was Arabic and not Iranian ( Persian).....another thing is the story by itself is enough tragic, so we dont need to exagerate it....long time, repeatedly talking about Haram, and the very false statements about reading English language book is Haram, or very false about the ban on the books mentioned, or any book is based on the LIES, and not a true facts....the Islamic system of Iran is really reactionary, but the facts about iran,Iranians and their cultures should not be lied. In Iran, you can find any of all those books in any language, everywhere, 67% of University's studens are GIRLS & Women, there are women, everwhere, the vice-Persident, few Ministers,in Parliments, there are atleast 5 International Famous WOMEN, Movie Directors, etc. etc......but yes because of the Rligon in Power, there are a lot of problems and obsticles too....for sure we could have the same problems if Christianity, or Jewish come and run our Government totally...all the religons are reactionaries and against Sciences and Civilizations, so Moslems the same, no difference.Written on Mar 05 2010
Therefore, a play that could be much nicer, and informative, fall down to a shallow minded statements, politically sided, full of lies about Iranian cultures, and need a real re-write to be a play, based on the true story....the only true about this play was the hanging of the two beautiful innocent boys by the criminal religon Government of Iran.

I thought the acting was superb across the board. All actors portrayed their characters very realistic. I thought the lighting was created well with assisting the theme/placement of each scene. I would recommend this show to all theatre goers. Catch it before it closes; it was extended another week .Written on Mar 29 2010
The Celebration Theatre is a great intimate theatre that provides an array of theatrical performances. Not a bad seat in the theatre.

I did not know the outcome but that it was based on true events. I think everyone on stage and behind did an excellent job. I'm still not sure about the voice of Allah that the mother hears. but well worth the night out.Written on Mar 15 2010
