Great performance. What could have been a tedious account of life inside the Mormon Church was made entertaining by Steven's wit and wisdom.Written on Jan 21 2009

This was my first time seeing one of Steven Fales' "Mormon" shows, and I quite enjoyed it. Steven recounts his past life experiences with fervor and throughly engages his audience. He is a captivating performer.Written on Jan 13 2009
Two things that bothered me:
1st - Steven made quite a rude entrance to begin the show. I didn't know if that was supposed to be part of the show, or if he felt that the theatre's General Manager's welcome speech was just too long.
2nd - Several times Steven had trouble remembering his lines. Steven, just AD LIB. After all, it is YOUR life you are describing. Even without all the theatrically colorful adjectives, it is still a great story.
I think that a post-show Q&A would be a great addition to this show. Since many of the audience members may not be familiar with the Mormon religion, it would create an opportunity for Steven to collect and an even greater following to his theatrical works.
That being said, I found myself disappointed that I had missed his first show "Confessions of a Mormon Boy", and looking forward to the next in his trilogy.

The show got kind of long and drawn out. There was not an intermission. Don't let the photo fool you, the performer is not that wonderfully tan.Written on Jan 09 2009

The original play certainly was more captivating. This sequel is just that- a sequel that paled by comparison to the first. I had high hopes but then as the play progressed it seem to have fallen on the same whirpool of redundancy. The concept was good initially but execution could be more polished.Written on Jan 08 2009

Description
From the creator of the off-Broadway hit, Confessions of a Mormon Boy, comes Steven Fales' new solo play based on his many adventures as a Mormon missionary in Portugal. Anyone who has ever felt the agony, ecstasy and insanity of turning their will and their life over to a socio-economic, political, tax-exempt, multi-national corporation posing as the Kingdom of God on Earth will appreciate this smart and sexy look at extreme religious devotion.
