Taylor had amazing energy!!! It was completely impressive. In fact, I don't know if I've ever seen a performer so completey energized as he. His commitment to the material was astounding and he was clearly having a ball.

Two things irritated me, though:

1.) The sound mix: he had a large backing band (7 members) and they tended to compete too much with his vocals which were not mixed forward prominently enough. Taylor can do a lot of interesting things with his voice and it was hard to distinguish them at the Roxy.

2.) The show was supposed to start at 8:00, but Taylor did not take the stage until 10:30. ANNOYING! Goldstar should have mentioned there were two opening acts.

He really put on a great show, but he was kind of hard to hear. The band drowned out his voice alot. And there was alot of pesky photographers that kept trying to push themselves to the front near the stage. Other than that, I really enjoyed myself.

Great event. Both bands that played as openers were entertaining. It was hard to "hear" Taylor sing compared to the other artists. His music "behind" him drowned out his voice. That was disappointing. Other than a few annoying "pushy" people, it was a good experience.

The performances were good, but the air conditioning was so inadequate that it surely scared at least half the early crowd away!
