After a sold-out run in 2010, Tony Clifton returns to the stage of the legendary Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip for yet another unapologetically offensive comedy and music extravaganza to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the mysterious disappearance of Clifton alter-ego Andy Kaufman. Joined by his back-up band The Cliftones and his burlesque dancers The Cliftonette, the outrageous entertainer will hold his infamous Hooker Raffle, with one lucky audience member set to receive a round-trip flight from L.A. to Reno. Unfortunately it was not a very good program. Attendance was very small and those that did show were there to support their particular comic/friend and left after that person performed. Some of the comics were very funny but more often than not, they were awful. One seemed like he was strung out on something, making for a very uncomfortable few minutes.Written on Mar 02 2009
Only a few were gay/queer. I think the late hour of the program just didn't fit with most people's interest. Don't know why I paid as they didn't even check at the door.
Not worth the money.

Half of the Comedians were great, Half were ok. Two of them insulted the audience for not laughing at them. When I pay to go to a show, I don't want to be insulted by the acts when it is not my fault if they are not funny enough for me to laugh at them. Am I to be a hipocrite and laugh at jokes that are not funny?? Many of the Comedian did not seem to be gay. They just told gay jokes. Plus it was $8,00 for a coca cola and I had to buy TWO of them. And that is AFTER PAYING TO GET IN. It could have been better.Written on Jun 01 2009
