Buried Child: Sam Shepard's Pulitzer-Winning Family Drama

Full Price:
$20.00 - $45.00
Our Price:
$10.00 - $22.50

Set during the rural economic slowdown of the 1970s, playwright Sam Shepard's universally acclaimed Buried Child resonates as strongly today as it did when it launched Shepard's career in 1978. A Pulitzer winner for drama, Buried Child makes for a fierce, forceful and unforgettable portrayal of the realities of the American Dream. The realistic masterpiece mixes comedy and drama, keen commentary and deep emotion in a squalid farm home occupied by a clan filled with suppressed violence, apparent unhappiness and dark secrets. Kenneth Kelleher directs this San Jose Stage Company production. Learn More

More Information About The Comedy of Aerosmith

Description

Don your leather pants, grab a bottle o' whiskey and come rip it up with the Troubies led by their front man of flair, Matt Walker. Troubadour Theater Company's latest release pairs William Shakespeare's comedic tale of mistaken identity, The Comedy of Errors with the music of outrageous rock icon, Aerosmith in their production of The Comedy of Aerosmith!

Shipwrecked many years ago, Aegeon of the San Fernando Valley is forced to Dream On as he searches in vain for his lost wife, one of his twin sons and one of their twin servants. While on his trek, he lands in Hollywood and falls prey to an obscure law written by a Duke that Looks Like a Lady condemning him to death unless he pays an enormous fine within 24 hours.

The clock starts ticking and Janie's Got a Gun as the action begins to unfold. Mistaken identity and mass confusion lead to Love In An Elevator and a Big Ten Inch Record. As in all the Bard's comedic tales, happy endings prevail and Sweet Emotion floods over everyone as the family is reunited and left to party into the night.

So hop in a car or a rock n' roll bus for that matter, grab your in-laws or some outlaws and Walk This Way because the bad boys and girls of Troubadour Theater Company are starting their hardcore, knockabout, Shakespearean RockFest tour.
