Jabberwocky Theatre Company presents their first production Thicker than Water: Three Original One-Act Plays.
"Thicker than Water" offers three original one-act plays that explore the pain, humor and pathos that family members experience when they try to connect meaningfully with each other. Illuminati is set backstage at an Los Angeles theater where a struggling actress finds herself caught between her avant-garde director and her estranged blue-collar brother. Fit centers on a middle aged New York City couple debating the decision to have a baby and their eccentric friends who help them make the choice. Grace finds a financially-strapped, expectant young couple and their opinionated New England parents struggling with the news that their unborn baby has Down Syndrome.
"Thicker than Water" is directed by Barbara Gannen (Illuminati, Grace) and Justina Walford (Fit). Acting in the production are Melissa Culverwell, Rob Dodd, Carisa Engle, Kevin Flood, Bryan Handy, Jen Hawtrey, Brett Hren, John Pollono (writer, Illuminati, Grace), Michael Rex (writer, Fit), Jennifer Riley, Becky Wu. The set is designed by Stephanie Mann. Barrie Kaufman is the costume designer.
