Clare Booth Luce's The Women is a wickedly venomous comedy about 1930s Manhattan socialites who, for pure sport, urge each other into self-destruction. Having no other occupation or purpose, the women manipulate each other to create gossip-column fodder for their own entertainment. The Women contains razor-sharp dialogue and social commentary particular to its time, but its themes -- marriage and divorce, socio-economic class, female friendship, standards of beauty and the role of women in society -- remain relevant today. The play was vintage Agatha Christie and will keep you guessing about who the villain is right up until the end!
The acting is first-rate, & the theatre is cozy- every seat in the house is good. It's not located on a main street, but it's not too hard to find. And they even serve free snacks (donations accepted) at intermission!

This long-running hit finds a group of suspicious strangers stranded in an English boarding house during a snowstorm. One of them is a murderer. To get to the rationale of the killer’s pattern, a policeman probes the background of everyone present. Add another famous Christie surprise ending and chalk up superb intrigue from the foremost mystery writer of all time. _
