The dangers of workplace romances are explored to both comic and dramatic effect in this revival of the 1954 Tony Award-winning musical. At the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory, sparks fly between Sid Sorokin, the new factory superintendent, and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a pay increase, setting off a conflict between management and labor, not to mention a battle of the sexes. A true slice-of-'50s-era-life, the still-resonant storyline also boasts a timeless jazzy score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, featuring songs like "Steam Heat," "Hey There" and "Hernando's Hideaway." This ever-popular show won the Tony for Best Revival when it appeared on Broadway in 2006, starring Harry Connick, Jr. Learn More

Lovely community theatre production of Fiddler on the Roof. Large cast of characters, respectable singing and dancing. Sometimes the sound should have been adjusted. The tailor's nice voice was overshadowed by the orchestra sound. G.H.
