If you can't quite make it to Hawaii this year for the holiday, no worries -- the Polynesian Paradise Dancers are spreading the warmth of the season and bringing the Mele Kalikimaka to SoCal. Legendary Hawaiian entertainer Manny Lagod and the Kolohe Kanes are set to make a special appearance at this festive hula celebration, starring the Polynesian Paradise Dancers and the award-winning Academy of Polynesian Performing Arts. Lagod is one of the original members of the Don Ho & the Swinging Aliis, while the Polynesian Paradise Dancers are internationally recognized for their artistry, and have performed at the Pageant of the Masters, in the Lilo & Stitch Hawaiian Party at the El Capitan and on several world tours. Lovely community theatre production of Fiddler on the Roof. Large cast of characters, respectable singing and dancing. Sometimes the sound should have been adjusted. The tailor's nice voice was overshadowed by the orchestra sound. G.H.
Music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and book by Joseph Stein
