Using GoldStar was easy. I thought I would have trouble because I couldn't print out the correct page, but my ticket was waiting for me when I arrived at Mechanics Hall. Very limited street parking available. Many meters were covered over and restricted. WHY? A tip for out of towners - go to the Pearl Elm Municipal Garage. Only $1 after 5 PM and only about a block and a half walk. Well worth it to me.
The concert was very enjoyable, less one major shortcoming. The soprano to be featured in both halves of the concert never showed. It started 15 minutes late, and the conductor had still not heard from her or offered an explanation even after intermission. I'm thankful I only paid half price for my ticket. Also-very uncomfortable seating in the balcony at this venue is you are large or tall. I was on the floor-much better. Arrive early if you'll need an usher to find you an armless chair. I did and the woman (older) went off on a quest to find me a better seat. I offered to go with and carry it and she refused. Most helpful and pleasant ushers I've dealt with in quite some time. Thank-you Mechanics Hall for that. GOOD JOB WORCESTER CHORUS.
