report as inappropriateI tried not to have high expectations for this event, since it was being helf inTorrance....hahaha. But come on!!! Everyone there was 65 and over!!! The 2% that was a bt younger didnt help out in ruffing up the crowd!! Melinda and I from Meetup.com made our own entertainment. By making comments about the costumes and such, which really seemed very contemporary. But aside form the people...the venue was completely inappropriate for ABBAmania. The sound system did not d o them justice, there were no fireworks or fog machines or anything that really suggested this was a concert. An what pissed me off the most is that there was a "Seat Nazi" or Head Usher who did aloow you take videotape , take pictures, stand up or do anything fun. She would come to your row and give you the evil eye. Not fun at all. I mean even the lead singer noticed, she would come down to the audience just to rev us up. It wasnt until the last song DAncing Queeen, that Melinda and I decided to stand up. Everyone else followed suit. Thats what a concert is supposed to be!!! I think this venue was wrong, it shouldve been during the day, in an outside stage with a better sound system, so we could take pictures!!!! But hey tickets were cheap!!!
report as inappropriateThe sound system wasn't that good, but it was fun. The theater is very nice.
