Broadway's Tribute: Heartwarming Father-Son Comedy

The Texas Repertory Theatre (14243 Stuebner Airline Road Houston, TX 77069)
Tony-nominated playwright Bernard Slade (Same Time, Next Year) penned this affecting comedy in which an always-amiable and ever-irresponsible actor discovers he has leukemia, launching him on a mission to reconnect with his estranged son. A sweet and funny family story about the search for forgiveness and redemption, Tribute comes courtesy of the Texas Repertory Theatre Company, staged as part of its eighth season. In its original Broadway run, the play starred Jack Lemmon, netting the actor a Tony nod. He also played the lead role in the 1980 film adaptation.
