The Food Chain
From the outrageous comic mind of Nicky Silver, whose Drama Desk Award-nominated comedy The Lyons hit the Broadway stage in 2012, comes The Food Chain, Silver's classic 1994 farce about love, sex and serendipity. Presented at Las Vegas' Onyx Theatre, The Food Chain first introduces Amanda, a hip, newly married poet who reaches out to a crisis hotline when her husband of three weeks disappears just days into their marriage. Meanwhile, across town, vain underwear model Serge gets an unexpected visit by Otto, a Ho Hos-devouring mama's boy who's got it bad for poor Serge. Things kick into high gear in the play's final act as these two seemingly unrelated tales of hilarious heartache cross streams, and Amanda, Serge and the rest discover just how interconnected their romantic troubles truly are.
