Saturday January 17, 2009 / 8:30pmPirate's Dinner Adventure
Adult- Assigned at Box Office
How was your experience?
This show was way more than I expected! The Price was just the cherry on top. Ok here's a quick rundown of the night: (1)When you first get there you wait in the normal line with your print outs and go up to one of five windows for your seating assignment ticket. (2)You then proceed to the entrance where you are obliged to take a picture with the pirate statue for later purchase, but are not allowed to use your own camera with the statue. (boo) (3)Once past the "lobby" to your left is the bar/pre-show stage where they do the preshow and some audience assisted tricks. This is also the area where the appetizer carts are spread out around the open area. There is a Meatball Cart, a Carrots and Celery Cart, a Raviolli Cart, and a Cheese and cracker cart. Drinks available for purchase. (4)At about 8pm they start to call out Sections by the color ticket you received from the ticket window and file you towards the arena. (5)Once in your section the waiters call out the numbers for each row written on your ticket. The seats are pretty close together that you are kinda elbow to elbow. It was a bit snug for my 6'4" husband. (6)The food was good and large portions also. You get a salad and your choice of dressing Ranch or Italian. Dinner plate is roasted chicken quarter and roast beef or roasted chicken and garlic shrimp. Either comes with mixed veggies and roasted potato wedges. Desert is a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and apple pie, ala mode. (7)The performance was more acrobatic and a bit theatrical with everyone singing. The audience participation is a must, definitely a challenge for anyone shy. He He. Towards the end they pull out all the little kiddies and do something very special! (8)The whole experience was well worth the cost and the drive! There's even an after show meet and greet with cake and coffee! I hope this review helps anyone interested in attending!
