Sunday February 8, 2009 / 11:30amSan Francisco Bay Champagne Brunch Cruise
How was your experience?
The cruise was very enjoyable. The day was overcast and rather cool. When we got there, there was a small group of people waiting for the 11 AM boarding time, but they let everyone board about 15 mins. early. The tables were set beautifully. We were offered orange juice and coffee, and were told they would start serving champagne as soon as we got on the way. There was a bar for anyone wanting to purchase other drinks. The buffet was opened right before we set sail, and it was very organized, with each table being invited up to prevent a big backup. The food was great, the wait staff was very attentive and kept the drinks coming. There was a singer/piano player who also talked about points of interest along the way, and announced special occasions from time to time. We wrote down the names of two people in our party having a birthday and left a tip, but she either forgot to announce them or might have done it when we were out on the deck. We had our photo taken when we boarded and the prints were available for viewing/purchasing at 2 for $20 for a 5 X 7 size. Not great quality, but a good remembrance of the event. The cruise was not full. There were several empty tables. As a result, every group had a table by the window. I should also mention that parking was convenient and a reasonable $10. We had 7 people in our party, and everyone had a great time. Great value for the money. Thank you Goldstar and Amy from customer service for helping to ensure that we all sat together since we'd placed two separate orders for tickets.
