How was your experience?
Overall, we had a good time. However, I probably won't pay to see Tommy Davidson again. My fiancee however enjoyed him and thought he was funny but to me seemed to have just "winged it" Friday night. I felt that was a little disrespectful to us fans esp since he was the Headliner. As a result, he wasn't nearly as funny as I have always known him to be. The feature act before him was rather funny. The worst part of the evening was the opening act/host-Haggi. I have attended well over 100 comedy shows and comedy open mics. Unfortunately, Haggi was the worst I've experienced. EXTREMELY amateur UNFUNNY act. He set a dark tone for the evening. We were ready to leave and come back when Tommy came on. Haggi was heckled by some lady in the audience really bad. Although she was wrong to heckle him I understand her frustration. This was my first time at the Improv in Chicago. I liked the venue a lot. There was not a bad seat in the house. We had dinner there and the food was just ok. I will stick to finger foods next time. The staff was friendly. Great atmosphere. I will definitely go back to the Improv.
