How was your experience?
This was my first experience at the Ruskin Group Theater. It was a small, intimate theater, the staff was extremely friendly and the set was detailed. The only minor issue concerning the facility was that during Act II it seemed like the air condition was shut off and it became really, really hot! But in fairness, not hot enough for me to leave the show! I enjoyed the show! Dominic Comperatore who played Pale was extraordinary! Also, I saw the Sunday show on May 3, 09 in which the understudy, Chuck Bradley played Larry and he was also phenomenal! These two actors are VERY skilled and it was an absolute pleasure to watch them! However, at this show Alexis Boozer, the understudy for Anna, performed and I was not quite as ecstatic with her performance. She had her moments, most often when she was kept busy with an action to perform but overall I found that her character should have been performed with more range, dept and opposites. The same goes for Jonathan Blandino who played Burton. All of the actors were obviously trained however the latter two were not as mind blowing as the first. Overall, a great show and a must see if you like theater and enjoy exceptional acting in LA! Not a play that is performed that frequently either!
