How was your experience?
We had a great time on the Dinner Dance cruise! We were on the third level, with a different cruise on the second and a high school graduation party on the first. However, we couldn't hear anything going on below. We had a window seat, along with everyone else, and there were empty tables as well. Three of us had the flat iron steak which was cooked to order and delish. My mom had the tilapia which was average. The band was talented and enjoyable, though a bit too loud. The view was gorgeous and it was very fun to go under the Golden Gate. We expected to tip on the full amount, and they calculated 15% as the suggested amount, which we felt was fair. They didn't even charge my mom for her iced tea. There weren't any unexpected charges. We even bought the token photo that they take out in front of the ship as it turned out really well. I would definitely recommend parking right at Pier 3. Had we realized how easy that would be, only ten feet from the ship, we wouldn't have taken a cab. It was really difficult to catch a cab back to our hotel; we had to walk a few blocks to the Hyatt in order to get one, as most cabs won't pull over on the Embarcadero.
