How was your experience?
It was ok. The "appitizers" were a joke- greasy frozen foods passed around on silver platters DOES NOT make it nice. Drinks are not free and the selection was minimal. The crowd was not what I expected. I thought it was going to be young professional 20-30 somethings, but instead it was a mix of mostly older people (middle age and senior citizens)who didn't really mix well. I was also hoping that there would be no children, since the tickets said "21 and up only", but unfortunately, there were several unruly children on the cruise. They killed the mood. I have nothing against kids, but there are kid appropriate events, and this was not one of them! If you're looking for a nice ADULT night out, don't go on this cruise. The music was horrible- it was like they looped the same CD 6 times while we were cruising. People dressed too casual; looking like they rolled out of bed or had been out hiking all day. I was expecting something a little more classy. My husband and I were WAY over dressed and I was wearing a simple dress and he was wearing jeans, a button down shirt, and a blazer. Overall, this event was ok since we got the tickets for free. However, if we paid $30 (the regular ticket price), we would have felt ripped off. If they make some changes to this cruise, I think it could be a real hit with the young professional crowd in San Diego.
