How was your experience?
Weeeellll, Where to begin??!! Upon arrival and entrance to the theater, I really wasn't sure what actually could be done in such a "cosy space." That's code for small/intimate. But it wasn't long before every seat in the house was filled and patrons started breaking out foam cups and bottles of their favorite beverages. I wanted to run to the liquor store. Anyhow, the opening act was fair. He had moments but it was obvious that he is putting in his work for the sake of his craft. The next act, all I can say is don't sleep on this kid--he killed. This kid whose last name is Cotter did this amazing sequencing thing with a bass, acoustic guitar and his voice (beat box) that was out of this world. I would have been satisfied if he just went on for another 20 min. I was in awe at how he did what he did. Next up were the PIMPS. I would hate to ruin the act or relive each moment of the night but only one word. HILARIOUS. Me and my date laughed until our sides ached and our jaws were sore from smiling. Other reviews noted that some parts of the act were rehearsed--I agree, but I believe that those very small parts added to the flow and enjoyment of the whole experience. I'm thinking about becoming a follower, checking out as many nights as I can just to see what new will be done. PIMPROV is well worth the time.
