How was your experience?
Saw Stacy Lynn Brass perform; the venue is actually a pretty nice room as cabaret/jazz rooms go--comfortable seating was a pleasant surprise, especially when compared to a coffin like the Blue Note. At the GoldStar discount, it's a nice savings over the full cover charge, though as is standard at such venues there is a minimum bar/food tab per guest. My friends enjoyed the bread pudding, my glass of Malbec was awful, another friend's martini was passable. Pressure to relieve guests of their coats (forcing a paid coat check, claiming that coats on chairs are a "fire hazard") is extraordinarily tacky, but service was friendly. I'd go back if the entertainment was compelling enough to do so, but certainly wouldn't seek it out.
