How was your experience?
Loved it! I read reviews of other shows regarding the parking situation, and to be honest, fork up the $10 (cash only) for the nearby parking lots. I tried to find side street parking, but it was permit only. (I read that Shumacher had free parking, but it was a cold night and I didn't want to walk a few blocks.) We got there and the line was out the door. The doors didn't open til 6:50ish, so if it's a cold night, bring layers! Bring the printed Gold Star confirmation if you can, but I didn't have mine, and all I had to do was tell the teller that I booked through Gold Star. The show itself was fantastic. It started out with a montage thanking the sponsors of the entire event. Microsoft Zune showed a clip of Family Guy where Lois's dad says something along the lines of, "I have an iPod, like the rest of the world!" to Bill Gates. Microsoft replied, "Thanks for the laughs, Seth." Bill Maher was the moderator, what a fantastic surprise! He and Seth went back and forth as if they were brothers, and the whole cast and crew were hilarious (particularly Alex Borstein, voice of Lois). Overall I had a fantastic experience. I want to see what other shows are at this theater. The theater itself is absolutely stunning.
