How was your experience?
This was a good day - pleasant scenery, some reasonable wines, food provided - until our hostess initiated the karaoke. After a day with wine and sunshine, the last thing I needed was to listen to people singing very badly, especially at considerable volume. It was a truly painful experience for me and my companions, especially since there was no way to escape it. I'm surprised that a host would inflict this on unsuspecting people. Clearly there are people who find karaoke fun but I'm not one of them and if I'd known this would be part of the day, I would definitely not have taken this tour. The web site and Goldstar listing needs to make this aspect clear - call it the Karaoke Wine Bus or whatever. I will not attend an event by this company again unless there is a guarantee of some peace and quiet on the bus. Another minor issue is that we were requested to wear mardi gras beads. Unfortunately, the color on them wears off if you are wearing sunscreen and leaves a stain on your clothing.
