How was your experience?
As other people have said, the guide Mark was late, claiming that Goldstar had mis-scheduled the event ("supposed" to be the next day) yet his own web site (http://www.tourguidemark.com/tours/cathedral/gargoyle.html) has the same Saturday date and time as Goldstar's listing. Hard to explain that one away, methinks.... I've taken the tour before (search for my other glowing review so in my mind this makes me fairly impartial) and this was the total opposite experience. Mark showed up late, was disheveled , and was not on target with the tour (it was quite a while before he even pointed out the difference between a gargoyle and a grotesque), and was not nearly as in-depth as the previous tour I was on two years ago. After telling my girlfriend how amazing this tour was, we both left highly disappointed. If we didn't drive 50 miles to be there, we never would have waited as long as we did, nor would we have have stayed if we knew what we were in for.....
