How was your experience?
The boat ride was enjoyable since we got to see the beautiful scenery up the Hudson river. Our tour guide was informative and friendly and so was everyone else. The boat ride going to Bear Mountain is about 3 hours and then when you get there you have a limited amount of time to roam the park and see the oktoberfest. Bear mountain is beautiful. Oktoberfest is ok. I mean, I don't know what Oktoberfest is supposed to be like.....Don't expect this to be like Germany's Oktoberfest...I've seen pictures online and wow. But anyway...I tried the beer, I tried the Belgian Waffles, I danced a little, I walked a lot. I wanted to try the sausage and other food, but the lines were really really long, so i said to myself, what the hell! I didn't come on this trip to eat. The beer is good, the entertainment is alright, the park is the best. Bear Mountain is a excellent place to go picnic and then go explore. Also, it's a great place for photos. There's also a zoo and a pool and other things I didn't get a chance to see. The only issue is that I wished we had more time to see everything. But overall I would do this again or recommend to others. In conclusion this was a nice experience and we had fun. Tips: -(if you seat on the top deck) Bring a jacket or sweater since it gets very windy and cold. -Food on the boat is expensive, so bring your own snacks -Bring comfortable shoes or sneakers because there's a lot of walking before you get to the Oktoberfest part of the park.
