How was your experience?
Unfortunately very disappointing. The class content was to learn knife skills, how to stock a kitchen with needed ingredients and cook healthy. Lisa, the instructor (chef) explained the use of only 1 type of knife, demonstrated how to cut an onion and that was the extent of her teaching. The class was then instructed to make specific recipes without any review or demonstration of the recipes first. There were insufficient cooking utensils for all the clients, some of the ingredients for the recipes were missing and some recipe instructions had mistakes that were pointed out to the teacher by the clients. It was very disorganized. The food ingredients were aimed at being healthy to a certain point except if a person was diabetic or hypertensive. The dessert recipe contained alot of maple syrup and the rest of the recipes used salt. The food we cooked was barely edible. The risotto was salty and mushy. The fish bland. I took my son in the hopes that he would gain some basic cooking skills but he knew how to cut an onion from u-tube. I have taken cooking classes before and wouldnot recommend this class.
