How was your experience?
My boyfriend's parents were visiting from out of town and we needed something to do - besides letting them buy us dinner and driving around and pointing to things. Another bridge - ooooh. Another funny looking local. Yuck. I had looked for a good comedy show weeks before their visit and not seen anything appropriate for two relatively normal parental units to see along with their easily embarrassed son and his darling girlfriend. Magically Goldstar sends me an email alerting me of a new event at Cobb's, my favorite comedy venue in the City. Even better, it's for DANA CARVEY. Fast forward to the show, we had a great time, the staff was great, the waitresses excellent and service well paced. Dana Carvey was just awesome. I don't even think he has a plan, he just walks onstage and goes off. A true comedy savant who played with and to the audience, but didn't pick on them. Overall, it was a great night, and although they deserve reviews of their own, I will just say all the other comics were great, too. I hope to see them at 132 Throckmorton soon.
