How was your experience?
it's my first time in san diego and on a ship. i usually get car sick so i was nervous but it was wonderful! i didn't feel sick at all. the tour was fabulous. we went north first then headed south after returning to the dock. we also took our 7 month son in his stroller and they were very accomadating. for the first tour when left our stroller in the dinning area. the staff was really friendly and let us know that no one will be accessing the area and we can have access any time we want. the second half of the tour we took the stroller to the top level. we took pictures and recorded video. we went on the 3pm tour and the weather wasn't too cold off the ship but once we were on the ship and it got going, it was freezing. we brought our snow jackets for this occasion and it was perfect cause it was super windy and freezing. we had extra blankets for our son and he was dressed very warm and had on a jacket too. we were able to see the sun set and then moved inside the ship cause it got too cold and windy. this cruise was narrated by the captian. there's lots of history to learn on this tour. i read a review where someone recommended to get there early and grab a table but i don't think i was necessary. the right side of the ship is the best view if you do get a table but there are seats in front of the ship, i think this is the best view as you can see everything in front of you. we bought drinks and snacks ahead of the trip so we can have it on the ship and it was great. they did not deny us for bringing them. they also have a snack/drink bar on the ship too, not sure how expensive it is. they also take pictures before you get on and when you get off they are ready for you to look at and buy. it costs $20 and includes 2-5x7 and 2-wallets. we didn't have cash so we didn't bother to look. overall, i couldn't be happier with this purchase. if you had to choose one tour, i prefered the south bay best.
