How was your experience?
I went with a good friend and took my 15 year old daughter. We all enjoyed the event! It was nice to do as an early evening event. It was also nice to go to something that was close to home. I agree with a previous writer's comments about how the audience was allowed into the theater. I will comment on that later. As I do not want to take anything away from the show.... The performance was actually marvelous. I liked the modern twist that they added to the show. The dancers were from what appeared 3 years old to perhaps 30+, and this made it a wonderful production. I have seen various movie renditions of the Nutcracker. This though was the first time ever that I saw a live production and I really enjoyed it. I will certainly go again. The manner in which people were allowed in was ridiculous. I do not blame the venue entirely. I guess they were not prepared for so many, out of control, self-centered- adults.. Who created chaos and were very, very pushy with their children. Perhaps they should have more people working or a better system to let people in next year. I got there at 4:45 picked up my tickets at the box office with no difficulty and we were inside with nice seat by 4:55 p.m. This is the first time I have been in Symphony & Space in over 15 years. It was wonderfully renovated and I look forward to going back for other performances. Thank You Gold Star!
