How was your experience?
While I liked the play, it was in no way what I had expected (from the Goldstar description). My 'impression' was that it was going to be a comedy and / or farce, but it was hardly that. While there were moments of comedy and farce, the play was MUCH more serious than anticipated. That 'threw me (and my companion)' a bit and, therefore, it was a little disorienting / hard to follow / hard to 'comprehend'. It all 'worked out' in the end and we (finally) fully understood what was going on. But it was certainly NOT what we were expecting. I guess the 'long and short' of it was that I had more 'trouble' with the Goldstar description than with the play itself. As usual, the actors and production values at Central Square really were wonderful. It's a little gem of a theater to which I think every 'theatergoer' should go for (at least) one performance. I guarantee they'll be 'hooked' and want to attend future performances. Kudos to Central Square Theater !
