How was your experience?
I haven't seen a "pianist" pound the keys with a Tony Soprano "heavy handed" playing ever, it really got my attention. It made me remenber what lounge acts were really about. He was great with rag time and boogoee woogee because that only required slamming the ivories but this was a painful experence of memories of wonderful music that was slammed. Too bad the family money and connections created this venue because it was certainly not the place to PLAY for money to hear this ear splitting attempt to play the classics, i.e.. Ravell is a "cadence" not a pounding of the keys. Where did you learn piano playing??? I'm assuming at the family gatherings where you were cheered on and encouraged. However, this is not your venue.
