How was your experience?
One thing to note is that there is a $15 minimum food/drink consumption requirement per person (on top of the tickets you're purchasing); this wasn't listed on Goldstar nor on their site. The venue is very nice, great sound, etc. The band (Wallace Roney Sextet) was OK; I liked the music, but it didn't blow my mind. Toward the end of the set they sounded great; at the beginning it felt like they hand't played together for very long. The venue wasn't sold out for the second set (10pm), so they let us stay and watch that for free. Overall I enjoyed it and it was definitely worth going, but I'm sure there are better jazz performances in NYC. The food was surprisingly good; very enjoyable. Between $14-18 for appetizers; $24-30 for entrees.
